SPX Express (SPX), the trusted logistics partner of Shopee, celebrates a significant milestone in Malaysia’s e-commerce landscape with the inauguration of the new Bukit Raja Sorting Centre in Klang, Selangor.
The event marked a nationwide boost in e-commerce efficiency, with SPX achieving a remarkable 30% improvement in delivery times for parcels traveling from Klang Valley to non-Klang Valley regions since January 2024.
“SPX continuously improves their overall logistics network across Malaysia; 50% of customers can now receive their orders in three days or less,” it said in a statement.
Looking ahead to 2024, SPX aims to further increase its delivery capacity and area coverage, leveraging its extensive network of over 140 hubs and warehouses and over 1,200 service points nationwide.
Within the next six months, SPX plans to expand to 700 buyer self-collection points outside of the Klang Valley, offering online shoppers greater convenience and flexibility in receiving their purchases.
“The Bukit Raja Sorting Centre represents a significant expansion of SPX Express’s capabilities in servicing the e-commerce sector,” said SPX Express Malaysia, Head, Cheah Lee Sun.
“This strategic investment allows us to enhance our value proposition for e-commerce vendors, particularly those situated outside the Klang Valley region,” Lee Sun added.
In alignment with SPX’s commitment to providing a seamless e-commerce delivery experience, the Bukit Raja Fulfilment Warehouse houses an extensive selection of readily available products, aiming for 95% of e-commerce orders to be shipped out on the same day for orders placed before 2PM.
Beyond its operational achievements, SPX has championed diversity and inclusion in its workforce, generating over 400 new full-time and part-time jobs with the opening of the Bukit Raja Sorting Centre.
