Axiata Group Berhad has announced the appointment of Amrit Kaur, as an Independent Non-Executive Director effective 1 July 2024. Amrit Kaur will also be appointed as a member and Chair of the Board Audit Committee.
Amrit, 63, has had an illustrious career, with over 30 years of experience in regulatory compliance, financial advisory, risk management and contributing to sustainable quality assurance practices. She began her auditing career in Arthur Anderson in 1989. Amrit then joined PwC Malaysia, rising to helm various management and partnership positions including global leadership roles.
Over the course of her career, Amrit has led various engagements, advising some of Malaysia’s largest public listed institutions in various projects ranging from mergers & acquisitions, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to International Financial Reporting Standards implementations.
She is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a Certified Public Accountant under the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
