Kaspersky’s New Advanced Cybersecurity Solutions For Malaysian Businesses

Kaspersky has introduced its new flagship product line, ‘Kaspersky Next,’ designed to provide robust cybersecurity solutions for businesses in Malaysia. The product line combines the strengths of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) with the advanced capabilities of Extended Detection and Response (XDR), offering businesses enhanced protection against cyber threats.

On 26 June 2024, Kaspersky unveiled ‘Kaspersky Next,’ which is available in three tiers to cater to different business needs, IT infrastructure complexities, and resource availability. The launch comes at a time when businesses are struggling to find effective information security tools to detect and investigate advanced threats.

“Today, we unveil our cutting-edge XDR solution and transform our corporate product offerings, marking a pivotal moment in our journey as an enterprise cybersecurity vendor,” said Yeo Siang Tiong, General Manager for Southeast Asia at Kaspersky. “With Kaspersky Next, we simplify the complexities of EDR and XDR for businesses of all sizes in Malaysia, empowering them to build reliable and efficient information security systems.”

The Cyber Incident Quarterly Summary Report by Malaysia Computer Emergency Response Team (MyCERT) and CyberSecurity Malaysia reported a 1% increase in cyber incidents in Q1 2024 compared to Q4 2023, with fraudulent activities, data breaches, and attempted intrusions topping the list of incidents.

Victor Chu, Head of System Engineering for Southeast Asia at Kaspersky, highlighted Malaysia’s strategic position to capitalize on the AI boom and become a premier data centre hub in ASEAN. “Malaysia is embracing the digital age, but this comes with challenges. The rise of ransomware and AI-powered threats requires robust defenses and a proactive approach,” said Chu.

‘Kaspersky Next’ offers robust endpoint protection powered by AI capabilities, integrating EDR and XDR for businesses of any size and industry. These advanced cybersecurity solutions provide total visibility, control, rapid response, and proactive threat hunting to withstand sophisticated attacks. The product line is deployment-agnostic, supporting both cloud and on-premise installations, and can be managed through streamlined or enterprise-grade consoles.

In addition to comprehensive protection against ransomware, malware, and data breaches, ‘Kaspersky Next’ includes automation features such as cloud monitoring, vulnerability and patch management, and IoC scanning. These features support the effective detection and remediation of complex threats while reducing the burden on cybersecurity teams.
