PROLINTAS Confirms Directors Detained By MACC

Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (PROLINTAS) announced that several of its employees have been remanded by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to assist in an investigation involving a construction case.

In a media statement, PROLINTAS expressed its commitment to cooperating fully with all relevant authorities to ensure full collaboration in assisting the investigation.

“PROLINTAS remains committed to maintaining the highest levels of integrity and corporate governance,” the statement said.

Yesterday, the MACC announced the remand of eight individuals, including a Chief Executive Officer and two senior management members of a highway concession company, who are suspected of soliciting and receiving bribes involving the construction of two highway projects in the Klang Valley valued at over RM1.6 billion.

The CEO, titled Datuk, along with two senior management members of the highway concession company, have been remanded for four days until June 28, 2024.

Meanwhile, five other individuals, who are company owners, have been remanded for three days until June 27, 2024.

The remand orders were issued by Magistrate Irza Zulaikha Rohanuddin following an application by the MACC at the Putrajaya Magistrate’s Court today.

Meanwhile, MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations) Datuk Seri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya confirmed the arrests of all suspects.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009.
