Ringgit Opens Lower Against U.S. Dollar

The ringgit opened lower against the US dollar today, as investors maintained a preference for safe-haven currencies amidst the prevailing cautious economic outlook, according to an economist.

At 9:05 am, the ringgit weakened to 4.7125/7150 against the greenback, compared to last week’s close of 4.7110/7145.
