S P Setia Appoints Shearn Delamore’s Datin Grace Yeoh As Director

S P Setia has announced the appointment of Datin Grace Yeoh Cheng Geok who is a partner at Shearn Delamore & Co a reputable law firm in Malaysia as the group’s new independant non executive director.

She is on the panel of the group’spanel of solicitors. S P Setia is also considerig the appointment of Shearn Delamore & Co. to provide advisory services and its group of companies. Once proceeded, the group said Datin Grace Yeoh will abstain from deliberation in respect of the said appointment at Board and/or Board Committee Meetings.

Datin Grace comes with a commendable resume, having graduated in law from the Lomdon Schools of Economics and Political Science, she did her master in University of London. She joined Shearn Delamore in 1996 and has been with the firm till today.

She specialises in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, takeovers, security dealings, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, demergers, listings, corporate exercises as well as general corporate planning work. Datin Grace Yeoh has assisted key banking players on their incorporation within the local banking industry as well as Malaysian companies investing overseas. She advises on regulatory compliance, corporate governance and inbound foreign investments in addition to private wealth and family business matters.

She oversees transactions involving Energy, Natural Resources and Green Technology (ENRGT) projects and their related joint ventures, licensing, operation, management and other associated agreements.

Datin Grace Yeoh has also served on the Board of Directors of CIMB Bank Berhad and Bursa Malaysia Berhad, the listed operator of Bursa Malaysia, the Malaysian stock exchange as well as Shearn Skinner Trust Company Ltd and Universal Trustee (Malaysia) Berhad.
