RM50 Billion ECRL Reaches 67% Completion

The construction work for the RM50.2 billion 665-kilometre-long East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project has reached 67 percent completion.

The project initiaied during former Prime Ministe Najib Razak’s time, was to improve connectivity and stimulate the economic development in states that it traverses through like Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, and Selangor.

The massive infrastructure project, which includes 20 stations connecting the East and West Coasts of the Peninsular, is also a testament to the strong bilateral relationship between Kuala Lumpur and Beijing.

Malaysia marks the 50 year bilateral relationship with China with Premir Li Qiang visiting the site an officiating Gombak Integrated Transport Terminal togther with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The Premier is on an officialy visit and will be disussing on multiple issues but mostly on trade and economy.
