MATRADE And Amazon Aim To Thrust SME’s Become Global Players

The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amazon to enhance Malaysia’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) global outreach.

This collaboration marks the initiation of the “Go Global with Amazon and MATRADE” initiative, designed to empower Malaysian brand owners and sellers to tap into international markets through Amazon Global Selling.

Amazon Global Selling offers businesses worldwide access to launch and expand their operations across Amazon’s extensive global customer base, spanning hundreds of millions of active accounts.

Under the MoU, MATRADE and Amazon will jointly drive initiatives to educate Malaysian SMEs on cross-border e-commerce strategies. This includes providing comprehensive training workshops, insights into account registration, product listing, shipping logistics, advertising strategies, and more.

The initiative will also spotlight success stories of Malaysian sellers who have excelled on Amazon platforms in the U.S. and EU markets, serving as inspirations for other local businesses.

MATRADE will actively support and promote Amazon Global Selling’s training programs to local entities, fostering broader participation among businesses, authorities, and business associations.

Amazon’s robust infrastructure, including Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and Supply Chain services, offers scalable solutions for sellers to manage logistics efficiently and enhance customer service globally. Tools like Customer Loyalty Analytics Dashboard and Brand Tailored Promotions further enable sellers to optimise customer engagement and brand loyalty.
