Mixed Regional Market Sentiment Reflects in Bursa Malaysia’s Weekly Close

By 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) had dipped by 2.85 points to 1,607.32 from its closing figure on Thursday, which was at 1,610.17.

The FBM KLCI began the day with a modest increase of 0.83 of-a-point, opening at 1,611.00, and traded between a low of 1,604.48 and a high of 1,611.90 throughout the trading session.

Market sentiment was mixed with decliners outnumbering gainers at 677 to 561, while 469 stocks remained unchanged. Additionally, 702 stocks saw no trading activity, with 24 others suspended.

Total turnover decreased to 5.64 billion units valued at RM3.92 billion, down from Thursday’s 5.91 billion units worth RM4.35 billion.
