On May 30, 2024, the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Malaysia and Sunway University held a successful event focused on advancing leadership and management skills. The event, hosted at Sunway University, attracted approximately 500 industry leaders, professionals, and students for a day of discussions and networking.
Moderated by, Professor Dr. Roselina Ahmad Saufi, Professor, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan; Insights & Thoughts Leadership Lead, CMI Malaysia Regional Board, and Ts. Dr. Kelly Wee Kheng Soon, Senior ICT Industry Leader; Regional Stakeholder Lead, CMI Malaysia Regional Board, the program featured two panel discussions.
The first panel highlighted the extensive resources provided by CMI and their potential for professional growth. The second panel explored modern leadership practices, offering strategies to navigate today’s complex business environment and promote sustainable human capability.
Speakers emphasised the need for improved leadership and management practices to boost Malaysia’s productivity. They advocated for a systematic and comprehensive approach to sustainable long-term human capital solutions.
