MOU Between TDA, MIMOS To Boost E&E Development In Northern Malaysia

Technology Depository Agency Berhad (TDA), a key entity under Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance (MoF), has officially inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MIMOS Berhad, a prominent government-funded research and development organisation operating under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).

The MoU was formalised during the launch event of the Semicon Research Consortium and MIMOS Academy held at the MIMOS Industrial Technology Innovation Centre (ITIC) in Kulim, Kedah.

This strategic partnership between TDA and MIMOS aims to accelerate the growth of electrical and electronics (E&E), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and data storage technology across Penang and its neighboring regions. TDA, known for its role in fostering collaboration within Malaysia’s technology sector, will leverage MIMOS’s extensive R&D capabilities and the advanced facilities at MIMOS ITIC in Kulim to drive innovation and industrial development in the northern part of the country.

The collaboration is expected to provide Malaysian companies with enhanced access to cutting-edge E&E technologies and expertise, thereby nurturing a robust E&E technology ecosystem in Penang and its surroundings.

This initiative is poised to support groundbreaking R&D endeavors and facilitate their commercialization, bolstering Malaysia’s position in the global technology landscape.
