Nord-Lock Sets Up Regional Office In Malaysia

Nord-Lock Southeast Asia & Taiwan, a division of Nord-Lock Group renowned for advanced bolting solutions, inaugurated its new regional office at Q Sentral in Kuala Lumpur today. This move marks a strategic shift from Singapore to Malaysia, underscoring Nord-Lock’s commitment to enhancing its footprint in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and better serve its clientele.

The relocation is aimed at leveraging Malaysia’s strategic advantages, including a skilled workforce and favourable business environment. Norbert Hentschel, APAC Head of Nord-Lock Group, highlighted the significance of this investment in fostering closer relationships with regional partners and expanding market reach.

“Nord-Lock Group’s investment in this new regional office underscores our long-term vision for growth in Malaysia. Over the years, Malaysia has emerged as a key market for us, offering a skilled workforce, strategic location, and a conducive business environment. This relocation strengthens our presence in the region and marks the start of an exciting chapter in Nord-Lock Group’s journey to establish closer relationships with our distributors, strengthen our global presence, and deliver excellence to our customers regionally,” shared Hentschel.

The inauguration event, graced by Robert Lejon, Deputy Head of Mission at the Swedish Embassy in Malaysia, affirmed Nord-Lock’s role in bolstering bilateral ties between Sweden and Malaysia through technological innovation and business collaboration.

Nord-Lock’s Malaysian operations will be led by Kang Tzee Chang, appointed General Manager for Southeast Asia & Taiwan. He expressed optimism about the expansion plans, emphasising Nord-Lock’s commitment to nurturing local talent and contributing to Malaysia’s economic advancement.

“Our Malaysian office is staffed by a dynamic and professional workforce with in-depth expertise; our plan is to further expand this established and experienced team,” Kang enthused.

With over four decades of expertise, Nord-Lock Group’s bolting technologies have supported critical industries worldwide, including construction, manufacturing, and transportation. The company’s solutions play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of infrastructure globally.

“In Malaysia, some of the most recognisable buildings, infrastructures, and industries are secured by our solutions; the bolting components of an awe-inspiring skyscraper may seem negligible, but they are the critical elements that enable us to build connections that last,” added Kang.

Nord-Lock Group’s establishment of a regional hub in Kuala Lumpur marks a significant milestone in its APAC growth strategy, poised to strengthen its market leadership and innovation in bolting solutions across the region.
