Ann Joo Resources Berhad announced that Ann Joo Metal Sdn. Bhd. wholly-owned subsidiary in consortium with PT Lumintu Insan Mandiri has been awarded the design and build project for electrification for the East Coast Rail Link feeder stations, including 132kV switching station, overhead transmission line, underground cable installation and associated works by Tenaga Switchgear Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Berhad, for a total contract value of RM297.9 million.
The feeder stations are in Terenggan and Pahang, the group was given one week to provide full acceptance and had on 20 June 2024, executed the letters of confirmation of acceptance. The ECRL Electrification Project is expected to be completed by 31 May 2026.
PT LUMINTU is a limited liability company incorporated in Republic of Indonesia, it has an issued and paid-up capital of IDR11 billion represented by 11,000 ordinary shares. The company is principally involved in engineering services, procurement, and project management services for construction including civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
Ann Joo sees the ECRL Electrification Project to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings for the financial years ending 31 December 2024 and 31 December 2025.
